Gender Reveal

On November 25th William and I went to Photo Stork in Athens and had a gender ultrasound performed. We were not going to find out until we had a party on Nov 29th. We had fun seeing the baby move and listening to the heart beat. The lady told us that she was pretty sure that she could tell what it was....


The envelop with the gender. Everyone thought that I would sneak a peak, and as much as I wanted to look, I really wanted to find out with everyone else.

On Nov 29th our family and friends came to our house to find out....Emily went and got the balloons blown up and I took the box, the balloons (both blue and pink), and the envelope to my neighbor to put which ever color in the box. She was so sweet for doing this. She left really quick when she delivered the box because she didn't want to spill the beans. LOL

A New Beginning

On August 23, 2014, I we found out that our family would be expanding. We were going to Mariana's house that night to cookout with friends, and I had this urge to take a test. William left to go to see his Grandfather, so I decided to take the test. I knew I could just not say anything if it was negative. I was so nervous debating whether I should take it or not, I didn't want to be disappointed. After taking the test, it took me several minutes to finally look at the results. I slowly flipped it over, and there was the word that I wanted to see....Pregnant. I was so excited. Now to tell William... I didn't have time to do anything "special" because I knew that he would be home soon.

I had just got a Toms brochure in the mail, so that was my go to. When he got home I pulled out the brochure. I told him that I was thinking about buying some new Toms. I pointed to a pair of baby shoes and asked him what he thought about those. He said that he didn't like the velcro (ha ha). I told him that they are for kids, and does he think they are for a boy or girl....He said girl..why?...I told him that I was pregnant...


That night we went to Mariana's house and I didn't want to tall them until I had told my parents and had been to the doctor. That was really hard. Here is a picture from that night.

We had planned a weekend at the lake. I had a picture frame that said "grandkids" from my first pregnancy that I had never given them. I put a piece of paper in the frame that said "Baby Wilbanks Coming May 2015". We gave them a 'present' (the frame). They were so excited. As other family members joined us at the lake, we left the frame sitting on the coffee table, and just let them see it. Everyone spotted it first thing.

We went to my parents house to cookout, and I wanted to reuse the frame that I had already given them, so I searched the house like crazy looking for it. I found it, put it on the mantel, and waited for everyone to see it. My sister spotted it first, and then we had to kind of point it out to mom and dad.



We went to the doctor on September 23rd, everything looked great and we claimed out due date as May 3rd!!
